There are few guidelines. All types of creative writing are welcome including fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, essays, etc. Artwork is also welcome which will be featured alongside writers’ contributions.

• Simultaneous submissions are okay, but please withdraw your piece if it is accepted somewhere else before we publish it.
• Reprints are okay.
• Multiple submissions are okay within reason (two or three fiction/non-fiction pieces, six poems).

So you can keep tabs on your work, submissions should be made through our online submission manager which is available here.

There is no payment for works published on Circa Review, but the literary cosmos will reverberate with gladness in appreciation of your contribution. (Not being facetious. The world will always need well-forged words.)

All rights are retained by the author, and author may request that his or her piece be removed from the Circa website at any time.

Though not mandatory, please consider registering at Duotrope, a free resource for writers that offers an extensive, searchable database of current fiction, poetry, and non-fiction markets. Circa Review is listed at Duotrope and you can report acceptances, rejections, response times, etc. Duotrope also offers a calendar of upcoming deadlines, submissions trackers (for registered users), and some nifty reports compiled from the accumulated data.
